AWS has continued with announcements of news as his event progressed re: Invent 2021. The new AWS local zones will be launched in Germany, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Philippines, Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, India, Kenya, Norway, Netherlands, Poland , Portugal and South Africa. They will be available from 2022 and joins the 16 zones that AWS has just launched in the United States in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York City, Philadelphia and Portland
AWS Amplify Studio
AWS has also announced the launch of Amplify Studio, a new low code and no code service connected to the Figma user interface design tool. It is designed to help developers create cloud-connected apps quickly. It is an extension of the AWS Amplify service, which already focuses on mobile and web app development but does not have Amplify Studio’s drag-and-drop easy design interface.
With this tool, designers can develop their app interface in Figma and then connect it to your backend data and develop the application logic in Amplify Studio. It also frees AWS from having to develop its own design tool, as Studio does this by translating Figma designs into React UI component code.
Despite the facilities they provide, AWS considers it to be a tool for designers, but especially for frontend engineers. That means some code will still need to be written for development, and developers can easily export their apps to their DevOps pipeline.
Additionally, if necessary, you can skip some of Amplify Studio’s prebuilt components through the AWS Cloud Development Kit. So developers won’t run into a roadblock when they need to scale their apps as they grow.
More security for containers

With this, “customers will have intelligent threat detection for their container workloads, scanning for unusual resource deployments and things like harmful configuration changes, or privilege escalation attempts«.
The company expects this service to be followed by coverage from Amazon Inspector to Amazon Elastic Container Registry. Additionally, AWS is also planning an expansion of the Amazon Detective service, to bring its investigative analysis to containers in the near future.
